Will the course be marked well?
Yes- The Bike Course- we have been made aware that the intersection at Caweltie / Las Posas  ( Left Turn at approx mile 1.5)  is easy to miss, sooo we have now set up a 6 foot banner with a large left turn arrow AND a bright red 16 foot feather flag that will alert all riders to TURN LEFT at that intersection.  All remaining directional arrows are painted on the ground in white.  Please remember that the Long course is two loops of the Caweltie,Lewis, Las Posas portion.

Is this an open or a closed course?
Open course and what that means is that you must obey all traffic laws and ride in the bike lane or shoulder.  we will have all the signals on flashing red for you to continue through without stopping but please be mindful of any wayward cars.  All turns will be marked by cones and directional signs as required by County traffic plan.

Is this a Draft legal race?
NO- this is a non drafting race,  please give yourself correct distance from each rider so that you are not drafting during the bike.  See
USAT rules regarding drafting and correct distance you should ride from each athlete.
