All great events have one thing in common, great volunteers. This event is no different and we can really use your help to make this year’s event one of the best. As a volunteer you will receive the following as a token of our appreciation for all your hard work and dedication to this event. Thanks in advance for volunteering! You are going to have a great time! If you are under 18 years old and want to volunteer please make sure you have a parent or guardian sign the Volunteer Consent Form. Pre-Race Package Pick-Up
(4 volunteers needed)
Usually the day before the race at local store near the race site
Volunteers will help athletes with last minute registration, goodie bag pick-up and answer any questions participants may have about the event. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Race Day Positions Needed
5:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Race Course Team: (6 needed) 5:30 a.m. to 8:00 a.m.
Volunteers will set up directional signage / banners on race course prior to the race and drop off water station tables and supplies. Transition area set up.
Race day athlete Check in: (4 needed) 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m.
Volunteers will answer vendor questions regarding booth set up locations. Help with Race day athlete check in and answer any questions regarding transition set up.
Aid Station Teams: (10 needed) 7:30 a.m. 10:30
We will have 2 teams of 3 volunteers at each aid station to hand out water and recovery drink. Volunteers will set up the water table, hand out water, and clean up the area once the last runner has passed. The other 4 volunteers will be directing runners along the course.
Transition Team: (8 needed) 7:30 a.m. to :10:30 a.m.
2 at Dismount area, 2 at turn around area, 2 at transition entrance, 2 at transition exit.
Finish Line and Timing Company Team: (6 needed) 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
help athletes at the finish line, direct athletes to recovery area, alert medical personnel if an athlete requires special attention, and place finisher’s medals athletes
Clean Up Team: (6 needed) 10:00 a.m. to 12 noon
Volunteers will help clean up all the debris left by the athletes, pick up any event
signage and clean up the parking lot area from expo.
